Hibby Thach (she/they) is a 2nd-year PhD student at the University of Michigan’s School of Information, studying multi-marginalized people’s experiences with various platforms and technologies.

Her work covers various topics such as content moderation, trans technologies, and live-streaming. They have published in Press Start, New Media and Society, and at ACM CHI, among other venues. As part of her work on live-streaming, she runs a Twitch stream (@HibbyBoBibby) where she streams variety content.

She is a member of Oliver L. Haimson’s CRIT Lab, Michaelanne Thomas’ AnthroTech Lab, and Lisa Nakamura’s Digital Inequality Lab.
